Plug & Light developed by Insta GmbH, featured by Gira Giersiepen GmbH & Co. Plug & Light’s centrepiece is its light socket. The desired light attachment, which is interchangeable, is simply attached to the socket by means of a magnet, it is dimmable, can henceforth be integrated into standard smart home systems and is immediately ready for use. It is combinable with selected switch designs and provides for creative lighting designs on your wall or on the ceiling – Plug & Light … it is as simple as that.
As of today, Plug & Light offers new features, numerous new luminaire designs and an ever-expanding network of pioneers from the world of lighting. The Italian manufacturer Axolight, the German companies of Grossmann, Ingo Maurer and Nyta as well as sg from Norway are the six new members which will provide outstanding light attachments and applications for this innovative system. COR is the first furniture manufacturer who integrates Plug & Light into a seating furniture. Fellow member Brumberg is bringing its sixth Plug & Light series onto the market. On top of this, further and new Plug & Light switch designs will come from the houses of Gira and Jung. System developer Insta will henceforth provide for smart functions and new light socket variations for ceiling applications.
