Universal designer Luigi Colani is dead

Mr. Design, design dogmatist, design pop star or even design terrorist – Luigi Colani was given many names. He always saw himself as a visionary, 20 years ahead of everyone else. Today, the design legend died at the age of 91. He wrote design history with his visionary ideas, biomorphic forms and designs that refused to fit into any time. In 1964, the Berlin-born designer settled in Rheda-Wiedenbrück, heralding his most productive creative period. The retreat in the East Westphalian stronghold of the furniture industry allowed him ample space to develop. For COR, he designed the Poly-COR loop chair, moulded from a single casting, as well as the Orbis seating elements. Until the end, his world was and remained round.

Same space - new staging! For Milan Design Week, we set up our showroom in the Brera Design District with this year's new products Nook, Shrimp23 and Jalis Club. Our design classic TRIO sofa also travelled to Milan to celebrate its 50th anniversary.

As part of Fuorisalone we will be back in Milan from April 17th to 23rd, 2023, in our temporary showroom at Via Solferino 11 in Brera. The beautiful historic ambience of the apartment will be the backdrop for our new products and the 50th anniversary…
